As a Chinese-born person, one must be able to speak Chinese =)

Sorry ya my friends because it has been a while since my last update (4 months ago LOL)

Haha actually I got many ideas and things to write but always feel hard n feel uncomfortable when I know that I'm going to write in Chinese -.-

Oh yea here are some reason why I wanna write in Chinese, well although I only learn Chinese when I was in my primary school but I feel proud that as a Chinese and I know how to write it, I have to thank my strict and disciplinarian teacher for one thing - his emphasis that "as a Chinese-born person, one must be able to speak Chinese"! I took it one step further, and pondered what it means to be Chinese.
So since young, I have always been interested in the Chinese culture, such as Chinese medicine, it is based on a special system, called Qi system. Qi can not be seen by human eyes. But it can be felt by alive human. Acupuncture is based on that theory. It's mysterious that China has that theory in 3000 years ago LOL. How about China Great wall, Chinese Calligraphy, Terracotta Army, Kungfu n others? Dont you think they are great n mystery? and not to forget Qipao.. its looks sexy for a girl who have nice body shape ahaha!
I was curious about discovering more about my roots, in the heavily "English-fied" environment of UTAR and compare to some ABC who didnt and thought that Chinese are useless ( sorry no offence) =P

And after I came to UTAR we are speaking Chinese and English but when related to studies stuff for sure we using English in speaking, paper works or whatever and people start to forget about Chinese, so for myself I choose to maintain and improve my Chinese language level by writing my blog in Chinese. ( although I know my Chinese Sux la haha!)

But still I always headache when I going to write my blog -.-

So I finally found my conclusion

What is my Culture?
My culture has many influences
First of all, you can tell through my colour and ethnicity, that I am Chinese.
This is my initial culture that shaped my childhood. The food I eat
The family that taught me the morals and values I hold. To show respect, to work hard, to achieve a good education

With influences from the east, I also like east culture a lot LOL. Having two languages gave me two interpretations of life Two ways of thought
Chinese, artistic, poetic and authoritative English, structured and descriptive

Next came youth culture (UTAR I guess O_O)
The friends and peers who shared the same influences
The music you loved, whether it was Rock, Pop, Indie, Hip-Hop, Goth, House and Soul
These shaped the way you walked and talked, and the clothes you wore

I did not know what to call this last culture, But I will call it Western and Modern Culture
The quest of a better world
The belief in freedom and democracy
The freedom of expression
To live in a multicultural society
Where there is an equality of opportunity and life

These are my cultures.

And I'm going to write my blog in English and Chinese =)
